Born out of a desire in the heart of Dr. Henry Grube to spread the good news of the grace of God, Greystone Bible Church was originally an evangelistic center. Through the years, Dr. Grube brought in renown speakers from around the world to preach and teach. Since being founded in 1941, we have sought to be a lighthouse in Mobile as a bible believing grace church. In 1947, Greystone Christian School was opened with the motto of "Teaching children to live as they learn."
Forward thinking, everyone involved with Greystone Bible Church firmly believes in remaining a church where the Word of God is taught rightly divided in a warm , caring atmosphere. Our Christian outreach ministry is here, as well as ministering to those around us and around the globe.
Our doctrinal statement includes the seven-fold unity expressed in the following verse found in Ephesians 4:4-6 which reads, "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you, that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one Body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
In addition, we believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Jesus Christ is God's Son Whom He sent from heaven to pay for our sins through His death, burial, and resurrection. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity, is coequal with God, the Father, and God, the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and regenerates and baptizes us into the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit also seals, indwells, and enlightens us who are believers.
